From my perspective, it’s an outstanding destination for intermediate students or those with some prior experience in learning Spanish. This is because Colombia boasts distinctive and diverse accents. What do I mean by this? In certain regions of Colombia, the Spanish language and accents vary significantly.
For instance, in Bogotá, the capital, a more neutral accent is employed, while in Medellín, you’ll hear a more melodious tone. Additionally, “tú” is replaced with “vos,” and there are variations in some accents, especially in the imperative form. This particular accent is known as “paisa.”
However, I believe the greatest challenge lies in the speed of Colombian Spanish.
