About me

Hi, I’m Alex, a traveller, Spanish teacher, and language enthusiast from Ecuador. I’ve been teaching Spanish since 2019 and have had the pleasure of working with students from America and Europe. As a native Spanish speaker from South America,

I offer a unique perspective and experience that can help you immerse yourself in the language and culture of the Spanish-speaking world. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s learn Spanish together!

How Speak Spanish Started

I began teaching Spanish after a friend asked for my help. She was struggling with the language and felt that what she was learning wasn’t useful in real-life conversations. I did my best to teach her idiomatic expressions, grammar, slang, and when to use certain phrases so that she could speak like a native. After that, I attended a language exchange where people praised my teaching methods and said they had never heard of them in a language school. This feedback encouraged me to take my certification and start a new way of teaching. My goal is to teach real-life, useful Spanish to help others avoid the same frustrations I experienced while learning English.

What would you find in this blog.

As a teacher, I’ve noticed that my students often struggle with certain topics because there’s no similar structure in their native language, or it’s an idiomatic expression that doesn’t have a direct translation. That’s why I’m here to cover all of these tricky areas and make your language learning journey easier. But it’s not just about the language itself. Many students also have a genuine curiosity about the cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries, as well as tips for traveling and living in these places. I always say that learning a new language is about much more than just learning new words – it’s also about learning a new culture. So, in addition to language learning, I’m excited to share with you the cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world.
